अमेरिकामा राजेश हमालको डान्स

गत शनिबार (अघिल्लो हप्ता) राजेश हमाल र करिश्माको डान्स हेर्न कोलोराडोको बोल्डर गइयो। राजेश हमालको डान्स कस्तो होला र भन्ने थ्यो। फिलिमहरुमा हेरेको, तेस्तो नि डान्स हुन्छ र?

नेपालका हिरो हिरोनीहरु बिदेश गए भने तिनले डान्स गर्छन। बिशेसगरि हिरोनिहरु। बलिवुडका कति हिरो हिरोनिले अम्रिका आएर स्टेजमा नाच्दा हुन र? तर नेपालीहरुले गर्छन। आफ्ना दर्शकको माया वा मुद्राको माया। मुख्य पेशा नृत्य नभए नि नाचिदिन्छन सकी नसकी। जे भएनी दर्शकलाई मनोरंजन दिनु न हो। 

दशैँ र तिहार दुवै मनाउने गरेर बिचमा राखिएको कार्यक्रममा खसीको मासु सहितको डिनर पनि उपलब्ध थ्यो। दश डलरमा मासु भात खान पाइने अनि त्यसैमा राजेश हमाल नाचेको हेर्न पाइने भने सी हामि करिब ~150 माइल टाढाबाट गएका थियौ। साएद यति टाढा बाट जाने अरु कोहि थेनन होला। 

हामि पुग्दा ठ्याक्क खानि बेला भा रैछ, लाइनमा बसियो र पेटभरी खाइयो। खानिकुरो मिठै थ्यो। मलाई भनि अलि बढी पिरो भा'थ्यो। भोलि पल्ट गोबर सोत्तर गर्नी बेलामा गारो भएनी नि खान कहाँ छोडीन्छ  र। खै कसरि हो प्राय जसो लाइनमा म अगाडी नै हुन्छु, खानिकुरको? 

मान्छे टन्नै थे। 500 वरिपरी? खाइ सके पछी, हलमा कार्यक्रम सुरु भयो ढिलई भए नि। (त्यो त नेपालीको बिसेसता नै हो  केरे). सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम नि राम्रै लाग्यो। स्थानीय कलाकारको प्रस्तुति राम्रै थ्यो।  

नेपालमै नाम कमाएका कलाकारको  पुरै जमघट थ्यो। यति कलाकार जम्मा गर्न नेपालमै नि गार्है होला। दुइ जना नेपालमै चलेका (मैले त पहिले नाम सुन्या जस्तो लागेन) हास्य कलाकार। पुरानो पुस्ताकी चर्चित गाइका मिरा राना। अनि एक जमानाको हिट हिरो सरोज खनाल। अहिले सम्मकै (भनम न) सुपरस्टार राजेश हमाल। केहि वर्ष अगाडी सम्मकी नम्बर एक हिरोनी र अहिले पनि सुन्दरी करिश्मा। अनि कार्यक्रम संचालन जय प्रकाश रिजाल। नेपालका एफ एम मा कार्यक्रम चलाउथे, यिनी नि यतै आएछन जस्तो लग्यो।  सबै एक से एक। 

अरु त ठिकै हो, तर राजेश हमाल र करिश्मा प्रतिको क्रेज देखेर मलाइ खुब अचम्म लाग्यो। अमेरिकामा सेटल भैसकेकाहरु, अति हुर्किदै गरेका नया पिडिका केटा केटीहरु नि उनीहरु संग फोटो खिच्न मारी हत्ते गरेको देखियो।  आफ्नो भनेको आफ्नै हुन्छ भनेको यहि होला। अरु त नाचेको, नाटक गरेको हेरियो, राजेश हमालको चाइ के हेरेर रमाइलो माने होलान। डान्स? तेस्तो नि डान्स हुन्छ? त्यै पनि क्रेज छ यी बूढा नायेकको।

Last weekend, I met bloggerdai (Nabin) in Boulder, CO. He is a long time (>10 yrs now) friend of mine. This meeting was after more than a half decade. Both of us have gone through lots of changes in personal and professional life.

Bloggerdai introduced me to this blogging world. He is one of the active Nepali bloggers writing from USA and has contributed in bringing Nepali bloggers around the world together. He maintains following active blog sites:

We had little talk about blogs, some about our future career plans and obviously about Nepal. We had lunch and dinner together and both of us were accompanied by our  better halves and family friends. On Saturday morning we took a short road trip to Nederland (mountainous (8200 ft) small town west of Boulder and visited a Hindu temple.

Around Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado

Initial plan was to go to Yellostone National Park during second weekend of August but we had to cancel that trip in the last moment. On the same day we planned for one night camping in Rocky Mountain National Park. In a short notice more than two dozens Nepali in Laramie became ready for the trip and went togather. We started our trip late in the evening and reached in the destination around 1am in the midnight. This was a different experience for everyone, I guess. Night was little bit cold.
